Cutting Edges

Black Bed Sheet Comics presents to you Issue #2 from Nicholas Grabowsky's Red Wet Dirt series, CUTTING EDGES! Bruce Shaver is having a very difficult time in his otherwise quiet suburban home. His wife hates him, he has no job, and he's a slob. Then one day he decides to take a trip to the bathroom vanity and shave. That's when the shaving cream hits the fan! Like a genie, a shaving cream creature emerges from the can, and convinces him he can kill anyone with magic razor blades that give him the power of invincibility! Chaos ensues and Bruce goes out on the town with a magic razor blade machete. Who knows what this can lead to besides impending terror and bloodshed! Based on the 2005 screenplay by Nicholas Grabowsky originally intended to be a 30-minute film...the screenplay can be found within the back pages of his collection RED WET DIRT.

Using available materials from the original 2011 Shot in the Dark Comics project together with the original screenplay from the Red Wet Dirt collection, originally to be filmed as a 30 minute short.

RECENT NEWS

Updated 2026 website! As you can see, or you wouldn't be here. We've had this domain (Downwarden.com, which is named after a novel titled "The Downwardens" that Nick still has yet to finish), and we've been on this site since probably 2002. It's had many incarnations over the years, but it was time for an overhaul and we hope you absolutely love the new user-friendly and responsive modern look. Our new improvements are fresh from the mold, and Nick has been obsessively keeping up with his publishing company Black Bed Sheet Books, as well as Black Bed Sheet Comics and Black Bed Sheet Records, but rest assured this page will be filled with more content as we go!
